Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Department

SERVICE
The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department at MCU-MDTMF Hospital, established in 1983, offers comprehensive care for individuals with functional limitations from various conditions or those seeking to improve their general well-being. Over the years, the department has evolved, marking significant improvements in facilities and patient services under the leadership of dedicated specialists.
Located in the hospital’s main building, the department provides a wide range of services for patients with neurologic, cardiac, pulmonary, orthopedic, rheumatologic, and other related issues. Staffed by experienced physiatrists and licensed physical therapists, the department aims to enhance patients’ physical health through tailored rehabilitation plans.
Originally housed in a small room, the department has expanded significantly, reflecting its growth and the increasing need for specialized rehabilitation services. Today, it not only offers extensive rehabilitation care but also engages in community health promotion through free quarterly osteoporosis screenings and educational lectures, underscoring its long-standing commitment to improving patient care and health education.
